Canada’s Ultimate Challenge season two is getting more heated with every episode and every extreme challenge.

The CBC Gem reality series is hosted by media mogul Brandon Gonez. The show turned Canada into a giant obstacle course where 20 players, formed into five teams, must face-off in a grueling competition filled with strenuous challenges. In the end, the winning team will go on a grand prize trip to the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

To stay in the know, here’s a recap of what happened in the latest episode, “The Aftermath,” which aired on Sunday, May 19.

The episode begins in Hamilton, Ontario where the new teams battle over land, sea, and air. With new teams and a new city, some players are feeling refreshed while others continue to feel the sting of the unexpected swap from episode three.

While digital creator Adam Pike misses team red, former MMA fighter Daniel Ginnane must find a way to work with team green to turn their fate around as its players continue to clash.

The next challenge, titled Search and Rescue, saw the players in action at the HMCS Haida National Historic Site on Hamilton Harbor.

This time, the winning team was given double the points. This is also the last challenge prior to another elimination showdown, leaving the players on edge.

This challenge saw team red finish on top, with team blue in second place, team orange in third and team green in last place.

Since team red was the big winner, they must choose which team must go against team green in the elimination showdown.

To do this, team red carefully spoke with team blue and team orange to understand their goals, strategy and why they deserve to stay in the game. Pike attempted to draw on the heart strings of his former team but despite his efforts, team red ended up choosing team blue as the competing team.

Now it’s time for the Warplane Elimination Showdown at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum where it was fight or flight time between team green and team blue. The final test saw team green get eliminated, while team blue lived to see another challenge.

The next episode will air on May 26. Each episode is released every Sunday at 8 p.m on CBC Gem and CBC TV.
