However, a few weeks ago, the Town of Ajax told them they must move their business to the front of the house starting in June because they’re not allowed to operate their business out of a back shed.
After leaving a $2,500 tip, Lee is further committed to helping Biscuits to Basket secure another place to run their business.
“This business is, not only from a food perspective, from customer service, from what they stand for, to the spirit of the people that work there, amazing, in my opinion,” Lee said in a video he posted on Monday.
Biscuits to Baskets is selling 500 “Keith Lee Effect” inspired streetwear T-shirts to raise funds for a food truck or another commercial place to operate their business.
However, Lee said it will be difficult for the family to sell t-shirts while they’re also moving all of their bakery supplies to the front of the house.
So, Lee also set up a paypal for anyone who wants to support the business, in which he will transfer any money he receives to them.
“Words cannot describe how my husband and myself are feeling. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,” the business said while thanking Lee in a post e on Instagram.
T-shirt pre-orders are for $35 a piece until May 12.
