Whether you’re a fan of murder mysteries or looking for a unique night out, then you need to check out “The Perfect Bite” dinner experience in downtown Toronto.
“The Perfect Bite” is inspired by the Netflix 2019 thriller Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery and is launching in Toronto for the very first time. The mysterious one-of-a-kind dinner party provides a fun escape and a chance to dress to impress for an evening. While being entertained, guests will also indulge in a delicious four-course meal at a local French-inspired bistro.
For those unfamiliar with Glass Onion, it follows master detective Benoit Blanc on a new case involving tech billionaire Miles Bron. When Bron invites his eclectic group of friends for a getaway on his private Greek island, someone ends up dead and it’s up to Blanc to uncover the killer.
Though the event takes place in the Knives Out universe, organizers say guests don’t need to watch the film to enjoy the experience, however it is encouraged for people to watch for extra context.
“The Perfect Bite” is a two-hour interactive spectacle that invites guests to a four-course meal curated by Chef Maribelle Moore with intricate puzzles infused in each delicious dish.
The four-course pre-fixe meal includes a sweet pea risotto ball, a mushroom cigar, duck confit and a cheesecake for dessert, and don’t worry, there are vegan and vegetarian options available as well.
Secret City Managing Director and Co-Founder Tina Keenan says the event is perfect for everyone and for any special occasion.
“There’s nothing like it out there. It’s a unique experience. It’s something that you’ll remember. It’s a great way to celebrate birthdays or anniversaries. Bring a group of friends. Every sort of table is a table of four, so it’s a very social and sort of interactive experience,” she said in an interview with Now Toronto.
Meanwhile, Secret City Co-producer, Writer, and Co-game Designer Kevin Parnell says the experience includes a little bit of everything from theatre, mystery, to games.
“There’s something in it for everyone. If you’re in it for the theatre, if you want to come see the theatre show there, if you want to come for the meal, if you want to come because you love puzzles and the game side of things. Everybody’s got something they’re going to enjoy in it,” he said.
Guests aged 12 and over can attend “The Perfect Bite” dinner experience at Peter Pan Bistro located in downtown Toronto. Doors open 30 minutes before the dinner and guests must enter with their entire party.
The event is available until July 31. Tickets start at $149 each for individuals. Guests are encouraged to dress to impress.
