Austin-born YouTuber Steezy Kane is turning heads with his latest video, where he is spotted rapping Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” on the streets of Toronto.

The music scene has been buzzing with the ongoing feud between hip-hop heavyweights Kendrick Lamar and Toronto’s own Drake in recent weeks, as they have been dropping diss tracks back to back.

Amidst this flurry of diss tracks flooding the internet, YouTuber Steezy Kane injected a breath of fresh air by jetting off to Toronto and delivering his rendition of Lamar’s “Not Like Us” on the city streets. In just a day since the video was released, it has reached over 450 thousand views on YouTube.

While some locals appear to brush off the YouTuber, others eagerly join in, with one truck driver even chiming in with “OV-HOE,” referring to Drake’s OVO record label.

The rivalry traces back to 2013 when Lamar proclaimed himself the “King of New York” on Big Sean’s track “Control,” igniting a series of subtle digs between the two over the years.

In a recent turn of events, Lamar took aim at Drake and J Cole in “Like That,” a hit track by rapper Future and produced by Metro Boomin, dismissing them as merely a fraction of modern rap’s landscape, not part of “The Big Three.”

Drake fired back with his leaked track “Push Up” on April 13, utilizing AI-generated voices to mimic Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg, a maneuver that led to the song’s removal from all platforms due to legal threats from Shakur’s estate.

This reignited the feud, with Lamar retaliating on “Euphoria,” branding Drake a “master manipulator and habitual liar.” Lamar then dropped “6:16 in LA,” exclusively on Instagram, labeling Drake a “terrible person.”

Drake swiftly responded with “Family Matters,” accusing Lamar of domestic violence and infidelity. Lamar countered just minutes later with “Meet The Grahams” and “Not Like Us” the same day, accusing Drake of being a sexual predator.

Drake, in “The Heart Part 6” released on May 5, vehemently denied allegations of involvement with “anyone underage.”

Here’s how the internet is reacting to Steezy Kane’s rendition of “Not Like Us” (In Public):

“This honestly the best thing to come outta this whole beef,” one user said.

Many people were also amused by Kane singing the line, “better run for your life” to a dog.

The YouTuber even smashed his headphones in the middle of the street, which got some people laughing at the act.
