Bruno Mars may have surpassed Taylor Swift’s Toronto attendance numbers

Nearly 250,000 fans attended Bruno Mars’ five-show Rogers Stadium run, making it the highest-selling tour stop in Toronto history.

As Bruno Mars’ five-show run in Toronto has come to an end, the pop superstar now appears to hold the record for the most tickets sold during a single tour stop in the city.

Mars wrapped up his fifth and final performance at Rogers Stadium on Sunday, playing to a crowd of nearly 50,000 fans.

The extended run marked the longest tour stop at the venue to date and, according to Rogers Stadium, resulted in the highest number of tickets sold for a single tour stop in Toronto history.

How many tickets were sold?

With five nearly sold-out shows at the stadium, total attendance could approach 250,000 fans. If confirmed, that figure would surpass Taylor Swift’s six-show run at Toronto’s Rogers Centre during the Eras Tour in 2024.

Now Toronto has reached out to Live Nation to confirm the official attendance numbers and is awaiting a response.

Mars’ record-breaking Toronto stop may not have been possible without an unexpected schedule change. His opening show was postponed due to severe weather, ultimately being rescheduled for Sunday.

What was originally intended to be his first performance in the city became his final one, and helped extend the run long enough to set a new record.

Fans continue to show their love

While the shows may be over, fans are still celebrating the experience across social media.

“Now, bring him back for an encore show next year. Five shows ain’t enough,” one X user wrote.

“And I’ll never forget it. Thank you, Bruno Mars and Rogers Stadium,” another fan posted.

“Legendary shows,” another user commented.

“Going to three out of the five shows is one of the best decisions I’ve made. Thank you, Uncle Bruno,” an Instagram user wrote.

Mars closed out his final two performances with Anderson .Paak serving as the sole opening act after Rogers Stadium announced that Leon Thomas would be unable to perform.

Despite the last-minute change, fans have continued sharing memories from the concerts, including clips of Mars’ popular “Angel Baby Cam,” which highlights women in the front row on the stadium’s big screens.

What’s next for Rogers Stadium?

Mars’ Toronto run was only the beginning of a busy summer concert season at Rogers Stadium.

Next up is Luke Combs, who is scheduled to perform on June 5 and 6. Additional major acts set to take the stage this summer include BTS, Karol G, Post Malone, Chris Brown, Usher, and more.
