Fall started on Tuesday, meaning Halloween is just around the corner—and so is the return of Canada’s Wonderland’s iconic Halloween Haunt. Now celebrating its 20th year, the annual spooky event kicks off this weekend. Here’s what to expect.
Halloween Haunt
Running on select nights beginning Friday, Sept. 25 through Nov. 1, Canada’s Wonderland Halloween Haunt is coming to give you the fright of your life as you walk through the park.
After dark, Canada’s Wonderland transforms into a scream park with hundreds of monsters (that’ll appear in all your nightmares), six haunted mazes (only available to those with a Haunted Attraction Pass), seven sinister scare zones and thrilling night rides.
After hopping on thrilling rides, take a break and watch live entertainment, from the pyrotechnic show Inferno, featuring fiery stunts and contortions, Head Bangers, an electrifying LED drumming experience, plus live bands and performers — throughout the park.
The Conjuring: Beyond Fear
If you’re a fan of horror movies, part of the Halloween Haunt experience is The Conjuring: Beyond Fear. This immersive terror attraction puts guests in the role of paranormal investigators where they’ll encounter malevolent entities, including the creepy doll Annabelle, as they attempt to lock away cursed artifacts.
This experience requires a separate purchase and is recommended for guests 13 and older.
Family-friendly Tricks & Treats
Just one day later, on Sept. 26, the family-friendly Tricks & Treats begins.
For those who want to have fun in the presence of their kids, or scaredy-cats who can’t handle the Halloween Haunt, this daytime Halloween event runs weekends through Nov. 1 for Halloween fun without the fright.
Enjoy trick-or-treating, friendly characters and plenty of spooky-but-silly activities.
Kids can dress up and enjoy the PEANUTS Costume Party, magical characters in Wicked Hollow and the family-friendly Corn Maze. Entertainment includes clown shows, magicians and a comedic juggler.
Families can also step into a friendlier version of Spirit Manor, with brighter lights and soundtrack and friendly ghosts replace the scares.
