Netflix’s teenage drama Ginny & Georgia is packed with heartbreak, drama, and (alleged) crimes. After that suspenseful season three ending, you’d think the show couldn’t get any messier, but according to the cast, season four is about to “rock the boat.”
The Ginny & Georgia cast members were on the FASHION Magazine red carpet on Sept. 15 for an official TIFF party: The Ones: Canada’s Next Act.
The Netflix show, filmed in Ontario, follows the story of 15-year-old girl Ginny and her 30-year-old mom, Georgia. The mom got pregnant with Ginny at the age of 15, used her resources to survive and went through a period of poverty and constant moving before settling into a New England town.
Now, 15-year-old Ginny is adjusting to the new city as she faces love and hardship and discovers her mother’s dark past.

Ginny & Georgia creator Sarah Lampert confirmed to Tudum Netflix that Georgia is pregnant. The question is: whose child is it- the beloved childhood friend Joe or her estranged husband Paul?
At least the kids, Ginny and Austin, have a closer relationship with Georgia after Austin framed his abusive father, Gil, for a murder Georgia had committed.
The season ends with Zion filing for joint custody and taking Ginny on a trip to Korea.

‘It’s gonna rock the boat’: Ginny & Georgia cast spills the tea on season four
Netflix has not yet announced an exact release date, but the show’s 10-episode season is expected in 2027.
Damian Romeo, who plays Matt Press, the typical high school jerk with deeper personal layers, told Now Toronto that season four will be filled with drama.
“We shot season four. I’m not gonna spoil the release date, but I think it’s gonna be one of the craziest seasons yet,” he said.
Romeo’s loved his experience on the show to date, saying it feels like the cast has become “one big family.”
“We all just get along. After four seasons of working with the same cast and crew, you become a big family,” he said.
Humberly González, playing Sophie Sanchez, the on-and-off partner of Maxine Baker — part of Ginny’s friend group and sister to Ginny’s love interest Marcus, said this season will be drama-packed.
“It’s gonna rock the boat, and everyone should be in for a surprise,” she said.
To her, years of work and effort mean a lot, both professionally and personally.
“I hadn’t come out before the show, and it was something that I had considered: Do I do it when it comes out? Do I do it before? What does that even look like for an artist? And there’s always a hesitation and fear of being seen a certain way, but I felt so supported. The fandom really changed my life,” she explained.
Nathan Mitchell, who plays the role of Zion, Ginny’s father, said season four will be nothing short of exciting, but ultimately, the cast’s chemistry makes the show a tad bit more wholesome.
“My castmates and I are letting loose, we’re telling stories, we’re joking… The time I spend with my castmates is just the most special thing to me,” he said.
