Though the Toronto International Film Festival may be over, there are plenty of other film fests happening throughout the city keeping you entertained and out of the cold.

Reel Asian Film Festival 2025

  • Dates: November 5-15
  • Location: Downtown Toronto

The Reel Asian Film Festival is back for its 29th year and we couldn’t be more excited. This non-profit festival celebrates Asian filmmakers and creatives over 10 days of screenings, galas, workshops and more. Don’t miss features like 2025 TIFF selection Space Cadet and a special presentation of K-Pop Demon Hunters. Full programming and additional information can be found here.

Canadian Sport Film Festival 2025

  • Dates: November 20-22
  • Location: TIFF Lightbox

The Canadian Sport Film Festival is taking over a weekend at the Lightbox! The festival aims to use film as a medium to share global stories about sport and its impact to educate, engage and entertain those in attendance. It’s 17th year kicks off with a gala presentation of Champions of the Golden Valley. Gala tickets are available here and make sure to stay tuned for programming announcements!

Blood in the Snow

  • Dates: November 17-22
  • Location: Isabel Bader Theatre

Horror fans, this one’s for you! Blood in the Snow is returning for a 14th year providing festivalgoers with six days of chilling cinema, industry discussions and awards. Between features, shorts and student projects, there will be plenty of film to sink your teeth into. Tickets and festival passes are available here.

  • Dates: March 23-28
  • Location: TBD

The Canadian Film Festival is turning 20 and you do not want to miss it. This non-profit festival showcases the creativity and storytelling of Canadian filmmakers and provides development and networking opportunities to emerging Canadian talent. Film submissions are still open, so be sure to encourage your favourite directors to submit their work!
