
October is almost here, which means there are a lot of new shows on the way for the spooky season. But, whether or not you’re into Halloween, we’ve got you covered. These are the Netflix shows you do not want to miss.
Love Is Blind: Season 9 – Oct. 1
The hit reality show hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey returns Oct. 1. . This time, singles in Denver, Colorado will try their hands at the unorthodox approach to finding their match.
Monster: The Ed Gein Story – Oct. 3
Following the success of the previous Monster anthology installments, the story of serial killer, grave robber and Hollywood inspiration Ed Gein is Ryan Murphy’s newest addition to the collection. Also, Addison Rae fans are excited to see a glimpse of the social media star/actress/popstar appear in the trailer.
Is It Cake? Halloween – Oct. 8
Saturday Night Live’s Mikey Day returns to host the baking competition series based on the viral sensation of disguising cake as everyday items. Staying true to the season of October, this special edition is Halloween themed.
Boots – Oct. 9
This Dramedy stars Miles Heizer (13 Reasons Why) as Cameron Cope, a closeted high school grad unsure of his aspirations. He decides to join his best friend, who comes from a military family, in becoming a U.S. Marine Corps in hopes of finding purpose. The series is adapted from Greg Cope White’s novel, The Pink Marine and, based on the trailer, seems to have the same heart and dry humour.
Victoria Beckham – Oct. 9
Two years ago we got an insight into soccer icon David Beckham’s life, now we’re getting the inside look into his pop star-fashionista partner, Victoria Beckham. The limited docuseries follows her story from being “the weird kid” at school, to becoming one of the biggest names in the music industry to her fight for acceptance in the fashion industry. All of it is woven into her current challenge: preparing for Paris Fashion Week.
Starting 5: Season 2 – Oct. 16
Last year, we followed NBA stars Jimmy Butler, Anthony Edwards, LeBron James, Domantas Sabonis and Jayson Tatum during the trials, tribulations, successes and milestones of their 2023-24 season. This year, we get a behind-the-scenes look at the 2024-25 season through the eyes of Jaylen Brown, Kevin Durant, Tyrese Haliburton, James Harden and Canadian Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
Mob War: Philadelphia vs. The Mafia – Oct. 22
Though New York might be the go-to location when thinking about the mafia, this docuseries delves into the Philadelphia mob scene which participants say was “100 times more brutal.” The 90s allowed for a new boss and the fight for the title involved obscene amounts of violent chaos inciting numerous undercover FBI investigations.
Nobody Wants This: Season 2 – Oct. 23
Now that they’re officially together, Joanne (Kristin Bell) and Noah (Adam Brody) try to navigate their new relationship as they are faced with the challenges of integrating friends, family and their religion (or lack there of).
Selling Sunset: Season 9 – Oct. 29
The iconic O Group is back! This time, adding Sandra Vergara, cousin and adoptive sister of actress Sofía Vergara. But with new faces, come new challenges as the pressure this season reaches new heights and some might not rise to the occasion.
Son of a Donkey – Oct. 30
Australian-breakout comedians Theo and Nathan Saidden are back to write, produce and star in a new original comedy focused on Theo facing the harsh realities of adulthood, while his dad is up against difficulties of his own. Fans can expect the same antics from their previous series Superwog (Superbro on Netflix) with “Netflix level stunts.”
