Nelly is hosting a throwback hip-hop and R&B festival in Toronto this summer with a full lineup of nostalgic headliners that most 90s kids will remember.

The new ‘Hot in Herre’ Festival, named after Nelly’s hit single, is set to take over Downsview Park on June 24 from 2 to 11 p.m.

The festival will feature hit artists from the early 2000s, including Ne-Yo, Akon, T.I., Fat Joe, Rick Ross, Ja Rule, Keri Hilson and Chingy.

“From “Ride Wit Me” to “Dilemma” to “Just a Dream” every song will likely strike a chord, so come equipped with bucket hats, low rise camouflage pants, and film cameras galore, because these artists are getting ready to transport their fans back to a time where the most important thing was updating your Facebook status,” festival co-organizer Nostalgia Inc. said in a news release.

Nelly said he hopes to make the festival an annual tradition.

“Toronto is one of my favourite cities to perform in, and the fact that I get to come back and bring all the people that came up with me in the industry means everything”. We have a lot of surprises in store for you, Toronto, and the Hot in Herre team can’t wait for this summer,” Nelly said in a statement.

The festival’s wesbite says a fully licensed bar and food trucks will be available on-site.

All areas of the festival will have access to picnic tables, shaded areas and seating.

There will be two 19-plus VIP sections available, one will give guests access to the front of the stage and the other with a lounge area and private air-conditioned washrooms. Guests can also purchase a VIP booth, which features a fully catered private booth, washrooms, eight bottles, and a dedicated wait staff.

Early bird pricing for general admission tickets starts at $170, while VIP tickets cost $275 and VIP booth tickets range between $2,250 and $25,000.
