Original ‘Scream’ cast coming to Toronto’s Fan Expo this summer

Look out for Ghostface because Scream is coming to Toronto. 

Fans of horror, cinema, and pop culture galore are reeling in their seats after Fan Expo Canada announced the original Scream cast from the 1996 film will be in attendance at the 2023 convention. 

Fan Expo Canada is set to return for its 28th year next month from Aug. 24-27 and as the city continues to inch closer to the major convention, organizers have released updates about the stars who fans can expect to see at this year’s event, including some of the cast from Scream

This includes lead actress Neve Campbell, who played the iconic Sidney Prescott, Skeet Ulrich who played her backstabbing boyfriend Billy Loomis, Matthew Lillard, Billy’s psychotic best friend Stu Macher, and Jamie Kennedy, who played Randy Meeks, a core friend in the group. 

The satire, horror film is recognized as a cult classic. It went on to become a series of six films, the latest being the 2023 Scream VI, starring Wednesday star Jenna Ortega, Melissa Barrera and special appearances by Campbell and fellow original cast member Courteney Cox.

The Scream cast is just one of many impressive guests that were recently added to the Fan Expo lineup. 

Other new additions include The Punisher’s Jon Bernthal, Star Wars star Hayden Christensen, and One Piece voice actor Christopher Sabat, among others. 

Advance single-day tickets are $28, four-day passes are $115 and the ultimate fan package is $155. 

Attendees can find the full list of guests on the Fan Expo Canada website. Fan Expo is happening at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from Aug. 24-27.
