Some fans are having a field day following Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s 2025 tour announcement where they’ll be stopping in Toronto. The news comes months after his public feud with Drake.
On Tuesday, the pair revealed the details of their Grand National Tour, which will be making 19 stops across North America, with Toronto being the only Canadian stop. The tour follows the release of Lamar’s fifth studio album “GNX” where SZA is featured on two songs “Luther” and “Gloria.”
This marks the first time Lamar will be in the city since his beef with Canadian rapper Drake began back in March. The last time the rapper performed in the city was in Aug. 2022 at Scotiabank Arena.

Last year, SZA was scheduled to perform in October as part of her SOS tour but cancelled minutes before doors were set to open at Scotiabank Arena due to an illness.
The Grand National Tour will take place at Rogers Centre on June 12, 2025. This morning, tickets went on sale for Live Nation pre-sale Canadian ticketholders. General public tickets go on sale on Dec. 6 at 10 a.m.
Since the announcement, some fans have been unleashing their theories surrounding the concert and Lamar’s intention behind it.
“When she posted about the cancellation (SZA’s concert), do you know who commented? Drake. He said, ‘We gon do that s**t together, when you come back lemme open for you.’ So now, instead of SZA coming back and Drake opening for her, Kendrick is bringing her to Toronto as a co-headliner, not even an opener. A co-headliner in Drake’s city, do you realize how comical that is?” one TikTok user said.
“I don’t think you realize Drake’s going buy all the tickets and OVO is going show up in the crowd lol..any other artist I would be like no that won’t happen but drake petty as f**k..also this can go left,” another user commented.
“Kendrick is a top tier instigator 😂 other rap beefs were just about threatening each other and bars this one is psychological every time you think he’s done he pulls another,” another user said.
“The petty is unmatched,” another comment read, while another person said, “that’s diabolical.”
