From cocktails served in popcorn buckets to three-course themed dinners, here’s where Toronto’s restaurants are rolling out the red carpet for limited-edition TIFF-inspired eats and drinks.

Feel like you’re a part of a screening with the “Popcorn Colada,” similar to a piña colada flavour-profile, plus lemon and dark chocolate-covered popcorn, served in a plastic popcorn bucket. INK Entertainment’s Italian dining in the Entertainment District, Bar Romy, is serving up three cocktails inspired by TIFF. Beyond the “Popcorn Colada,” check out the “Opening Night,” which has tequila, amaretto, strawberry juice, lemon, and black salt, or the “Red Carpet,” with vodka, galliano vanilla, cherry purée, lemon, grapefruit, cava, foamer, and cotton candy.

Vinny Restaurant & Vinyl Bar

Location: 480 King St W.

If your favourite movie theatre treat is Maynards’ fuzzy peaches, then get ready to try a drink inspired by the candy. Vinny Restaurant & Vinyl Bar is offering a limited-edition cocktail, “Life’s a Peach,” including whisky, peach liqueur, peach syrup, Aperol, lemon, egg white and a peach ring; essentially, everything peachy.

Animl Steakhouse & Cocktail Den

Location: 420A Wellington St W.

Looking for a drink on the sweeter side? Animl Steakhouse & Cocktail Den is offering a “Midnight Martini,” a drink made with peanut butter vodka, cacao, coffee liqueur and Reese’s Peanut Butter Puffs cereal milk. The drink nods to TIFF’s midnight screenings and the classic movie snack Reese’s in this glamorous, intimate space.

Primadonna

Location: 600 King St W., Fourth Floor

If you’re looking for a full TIFF drinking and dining experience, check out the vibrant Italian-American restaurant and rooftop lounge, Primadonna. Take a look at their featured cocktail: “La Première,” including tequila, Aperol, Prosecco, lime and lychee juice, or channel your main character energy through the special three-course titled “The Main Character.” Here’s what it offers:

  • FIRST: Two choices between Frutti di Mare, which is a mixed seafood salad, cioppino base, crostini or a Beef Carpaccio, which includes trule crema, pickled shallots, shaved parmesan and arugula.
  • SECOND: Three choices between Spicy Shrimp Vodka Rigatoni, which has Calabrese chilli, rosé à la Primadonna, or Chicken Cotoletta, which has arugula, pickled onion, lemon, sage brown butter or Eggplant Parm, which is breaded eggplant, pomodoro, Grana Padano, basil
  • DESSERT: Two choices between a Lemon Berry Pavlova, which has meringue, lemon curd, mixed berries or an Aperol Spritz Cake, which is an almond orange cake, buttercream, orange and prosecco glaze.

Honey: More Than Chinese

Location: 600 King St W., Third Floor

Feel like a star in the upscale, late-night pan-Asian restaurant and lounge, Honey: More Than Chinese, with the drink “The Star Treatment,” a dirty martini served with caviar on the side. The cocktail feature is made with vodka, dry vermouth, and olive brine, stirred over ice and finished with green olives.
