With TIFF just around the corner, Toronto’s hottest restaurants and late-night spots are ready to welcome A-listers here for the festivities. Here are some local celeb hot spots where you might catch your favourite star once the festival begins.
In less than a month, Toronto will be transformed into a vibrant arts and culture hub with A-list celebrities around every corner. There were numerous celebrity sightings during last year’s festival, including Angelina Jolie and Chris Evans at the Richmond St. restaurant Daphne, and Charli XCX at the King St. watering hole Vinny, among many others.

Now, TIFF will return for its 2026 season from Sept. 10-20, bringing with it 293 films. Tickets go on sale at the end of this month.
But if you’re more into seeing stars than checking out the films they star in, INK Entertainment Group has shared a list of restaurants and bars for a chance to see A-list celebrities.

Daphne

Vinny Restaurant & Vinyl Bar

If you want to channel your inner Charli XCX like her Music, Fashion, Film album, check out where she and other celebs have been: Vinny Restaurant & Vinyl Bar. Vinny has long been a TIFF favourite, combining globally inspired plates, cocktails, DJs and a vinyl-driven soundtrack.

Primadonna

You can’t go wrong with Italian food. Primadonna is a stylish restaurant with Italian-American comfort food, surrounded by vintage art, plush banquettes, statement interiors and a lively rooftop. Past celeb sightings include Oprah Winfrey, Lucy Liu and Jessica Chastain.
Beso by Patria
Location: 478 King St W.
Take a trip to Spain without ever catching a flight, and run the chance to see some celebs. Beso by Patria is a bold and colourful Spanish restaurant with tapas, paella, seafood, grilled meats and cocktails. Past celebrity sightings include Pharrell Williams, Andrew Garfield, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Emily Blunt and J Balvin.
Animl Steakhouse & Cocktail Den
Location: 420A Wellington St. W.
Unlock the hidden gem restaurant Animl Steakhouse & Cocktail Den and catch sight of various celebrities. Hidden within a downtown laneway, the restaurant channels the glamour from 1970s New York with gold-leaf ceilings, animal prints and dramatic Art deco-inspired interiors. Feast on dry-aged steaks, seafood, and theatrical cocktails. Past celeb sightings include Wagner Moura, Dave Chappelle, Anthony Mackie and James Mcvoy.
KŌST
Location: 80 Blue Jays Wy., 44th Floor
If you’re looking for dinner with a view (and a possible celebrity sighting,) check out KŌST. The highrise building pairs drinks and food alongside Toronto’s skyline and CN tower views. Beyond rooftop dining, there’s a pool for those who wish to swim. Celebrity sightings include Drake, Jennifer Lopez, Ryan Gosling and Sofia Vergara.
