Toronto actor Simu Liu has addressed an awkward moment he had with fellow Canadian actor Ryan Gosling on the Barbie red carpet.

On Thursday, the Shang Chi star shared an Instagram story of a photo of him and Gosling side by side with the caption, “I’d beach off with this Kenadian again in a heartbeat. Fans of the film had a lot to say about the seemingly embarrassing exchange.

In Liu’s Instagram story, he finishes his rant by encouraging his followers to “get back to the issues that matter, like supporting our striking actors and writers fighting for fair wages!”
