Toronto is a city rich with creative artistic expression, and a new exhibit featuring pieces of mysterious humans will surely showcase just that.

Until Oct. 9, ArtMatch’s latest exhibition titled ‘Hiding in Plain Site,’ is on display at the Leslie Grove Gallery in Toronto.

Six artists, Alexandre Da Silva Maia, Jazz Aline, Karen Darling, Laura Thipphawong, Steve Potter, and Susan G. Abbott, have each created an artwork of a human figure whose context is unknown to the viewer, leaving it open to artistic interpretation.

This could mean the human is missing an eye or a body part, for example.

Visitors can expect to see about 25 different artworks on display, with a mix of paintings and prints on various mediums and of diverse styles, Rishi Midha, co-founder of Art Match, told Now Toronto.

“All works are by local, Toronto-based artists. Each piece conforms to the theme of enigmatic and mysterious figurative works,” Midha said.

The gallery is open from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. from Wednesday to Sunday, and closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
