You know summer is here when the city announces its annual list of Summerlicious restaurants.

For those unfamiliar with the beloved summer foodie event, it is a restaurant festival that allows Torontonians to try the best of what the city’s culinary scene has to offer.

“This year’s Summerlicious program continues to support the recovery and revival of Toronto’s restaurants while providing the enticing experiences and delectable food that restaurant-goers have come to expect from the popular Summerlicious program,” the city said in a release Thursday.

From July 7 to 23, foodies can enjoy three-course prix fixe menus at more than 200 participating restaurants at six price points for lunch or dinner.

The full list of restaurants features every type of cuisine one can think of. A map is available online for people to choose based on their desired area.

Some of the most popular restaurants included are Buca Osteria & Enoteca, Kasa Moto, Oretta Midtown, PAI Uptown, and Piano Piano among others.

Three-course prix fixe lunch menus are priced from $20 to $55, and dinners are priced from $25 to $75.

The city strongly recommends making reservations directly with the participating restaurants. Some of the restaurants do not offer a lunch prix fixe menu on Saturday or Sunday.

Restaurants will begin accepting reservations for Summerlicious on June 29.

The Winterlicious and Summerlicious programs began in 2003 as a way to boost Toronto’s restaurant industry during periods of slow business.

Now, restaurants involved have served over eight million meals and have generated more than $353 million for the local restaurant industry, according to the city.
