Why you need to head to Toronto’s Ultra Restaurant & Supper Club this fall

From Australian wagyu striploin paired with charred kimchi to Asian-style chimichurri, the menu is full of flavour and fun no matter what type of night is ahead of you.

Grab the girls or the gang and head to Ultra Restaurant this fall for some of the most delicious food in Toronto!

Located at 12 St. Claire Ave E., Ultra gives you a place to wind down, or turn up, while enjoying gin and lavender-infused espresso martinis, lobster fried rice, and the best vibes.

Now Toronto was invited to Ultra last month  for an exclusive tasting event of its fall menu hosted by Executive Chef Kihyun Kim, which did not disappoint. The dimly lit interior provided an intimate setting that enhances your dining experience.

From Australian wagyu striploin paired with charred kimchi and Asian-style chimichurri to pistachio cookie strawberry sorbetto sandwiches for dessert, the menu is full of flavour and fun no matter what type of night is ahead of you.

The tasting started off with Ultra’s Tart Trio giving you one of three options:avocado, mushroom or salmon, which had the perfect combination of texture and taste.

An organic Scottish salmon tataki followed that melted in your mouth and was topped with lime su-miso, Granny Smith apple, triple crunch mustard, wasabi oil and crispy lotus.

The second and third courses included lobster xo fried rice, Australian wagyu striploin, madai hirame carpaccio and their new ribeye steak! Each dish was cooked to perfection and prepared with the guests’ enjoyment in mind.

But, one of the main reasons for my much needed return was the dessert. Even though the pistachio cookie strawberry sorbetto sandwiches are a mouthful to say, they’re the perfect ending to your meal, and the right amount of sweetness to satisfy anyone’s sweet tooth.

Ultra Restaurant is open Tuesday to Thursday from 5-11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Its fall menu begins on September 15. To reserve your much needed night out, click here
