Yelp is making it easy to support local Asian-owned businesses this month with its free Asian-owned in Toronto event series!

Unearth some of the city’s most innovative local businesses, from board game cafes to coffee shops with rotating art installations, the online review site is spotlighting the best of Asia’s sprawling culture as Canada celebrates Asian Heritage Month.

The month-long series provides the perfect opportunity to taste and embrace the richness of Asian and Pacific heritage, from distinct coffee cultures, to broad ranging and innovative culinary talent, Yelp is leaving no stone unturned. And the best part, all tastings are free!

The series also allows participants to explore the various cultures and neighbourhoods Toronto has to offer, from the bustling Entertainment District to the picturesque Cabbagetown and historic Distillery District.

Food on offer in the series ranges from traditional Chinese eats to Hong Kong Diner-style fare, which incorporates a mouthwatering fusion of eastern and western tradition.

“We also have really great hang out spots at Cafes around Toronto, like Play Ground Cafe, immersive art displays, and board game spots like Twilight Cafe,” Janice Yu, Yelp Toronto Sr. Community Manager, told Now Toronto.
