Kaleigh Trace and Christa Couture are happy to announce the return of the Little Deaths Salon on October 17 at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre in Toronto after a sold out run in July. Little Deaths Salon is a quarterly performance series that explores the awe inspired by humans’ most intimate experiences: sex and death. Kaleigh is a queer, disabled therapist, former sex educator, and writer who is also living with terminal cancer. The idea for Little Deaths Salon came from her desire to have more irreverent conversations about death, and her history of having reverent conversations about sex.
“Performers and listeners alike experienced the rush of release: taboo transformed into triumph, shame into sacred bliss.” – Toronto Star
Hosted by Kaleigh Trace and Christa Couture, Little Deaths Salon will feature Jody Chan, poet and grief and death worker; Rania El Mugammer, Sudanese artist and liberation educator; Brian Francis, food and fiction writer; Kaleb Roberston, curator of joy; Veronica Simmonds, sonic sorceress; and Rae Spoon, musician, producer, author, and national treasure.
