Banh Mi Boys: the Sequel

It’s no secret that the Banh Mi Boys have had a second location in the works. World domination – or at least the downtown core – has been on the books from the get-go. Problem was, where?

Just last week, BMB’s David Chau hinted that they’d be launching on Yonge, which narrows it down from here to the Manitoba border. Chau just got a little more specific.

“We’ve taken over a milkshake restaurant at 399 Yonge at Gerrard,” reveals Chau to NOW. “We should be open by mid-January.”

Let’s hope they’re ready this time. The new 30-seat resto in the lobby of the old Coronet grind-house will feature a similar design, a small patio and late-night hours come summer. Can we expect anything new on the menu?

“We’re working on some new banh mi,” laughs Chau. “With a twist, of course.”
