Although it hardly looks finished from the street, the new flagship Four Seasons Hotel at Bay and Yorkville launched with considerable fanfare over the weekend.
Famed for its over-the-top opulence, the Toronto-based chain of luxury hotels’ latest outpost is also home to two restaurants helmed by celebu-chef Daniel Boulud, the pricier 150-seat Café Boulud on the upper mezzanine where mains like steak aux poivre go for $39 and the more casual dBar off the lobby where $19 gets you a burger, albeit one dressed with confit pork belly, arugula, Morbier cheese and tomato-onion compote. Fries, too!
Judging by the crowds, Boulud at the Four Seasons should be a blockbuster.
