Dine for cheap with the $5 Food Crawl

One of the best things about Toronto eating: The sheer abundance of wonderful cheap eats (see here for evidence). Unfortunately, you can’t snag every great meal in Toronto for that little money, but thanks to Toronto’s Finest, there are 10 more ways for you to spend a fiver on food this month.

As part of the $5 Food Crawl, diners armed with passports will be able to show up at restaurants like Queen Margherita Pizza, La Cubana, Dirty Bird and Holy Chuck and get a special dish for just $5. (For those with a sweet tooth, Bake Shoppe and the Big Chill are offering a sampler of their bars and an ice cream-topped Belgian waffle, respectively).

The passport is $10 (and there’s 10 restaurants, so technically, you’ll pay $6 per menu item – but hey, that still sounds like a decent deal to me). The crawl runs from December 7 until December 20.
