Gotta get down on Pi Day

It’s Pi Day, and all around the world, people (and by people, I mean nerds) are celebrating by indulging in all things round and crusty. (A rational response to this irrational number!) A couple of Toronto restaurants are adding (not subtracting) to the fun by offering to round off your stomach for cheap.

Blaze Pizza (10 Dundas East, at Victoria, 416-979-3626, blazepizza.com), a recent arrival at Yonge and Dundas, is getting in on the geekery by selling pizza pies all day for $3.14. Further north, Pie Squared (366 Bloor East, at Sherbourne, 647-350-2743, piesquared.com) is selling its signature periodic table-inspired pies for $3.14 – and at 3:14 p.m., they’ll be handing them out for free for an hour.

If those aren’t to your liking, hit up one of Toronto’s staple bakeries: Wanda’s, Absolute Bakery and Mabel’s for your traditional pies (and on the meat side, Wisey’s and Kanga). Mathematical! Rhombus!
