18 Toronto restaurants with New Year’s Eve 2022 menus

UPDATE: Since this article was first published, some restaurants have decided to close or pivot to takeout/delivery only. Last call for alcohol is now 10 pm and all spots are closed by 11 pm at latest. We’ve updated below where we can, but please double-check before making reservations.

For last year’s New Year’s Eve, Toronto restaurants were limited to takeout and delivery only.

That didn’t stop them from creating special NYE menus, but this year you can put on a nice outfit, have a seat and they’ll actually bring the food to your table. Restaurants are so far unaffected by new capacity restrictions instituted in response to Omicron, so for those comfortable with indoor dining – and who have proof of full vaccination – there are many Toronto spots offering New Year’s Eve meals to ring in 2022. But keep an eye on your reservation in case things change.

Here are some Toronto restaurants where you can enjoy prix fixe dinners (and a drink or two) on December 31.

The Rivoli

The Queen and Spadina bar and restaurant is taking reservations for a New Year’s bash. There will be an exclusive New Year’s menu and a choice of three appetizers for $25.

Expect dishes like black cod aji, yellowtail nikkei sashimi and wagyu striploin. A welcome cocktail is also included, as well as live entertainment and music. Due to the new indoor dining restrictions and 11 p.m. curfews for restaurants and bars, Chotto Matte will be offering dinners priced $150 and will be eliminating late dinners. Their bottomless mimosa brunch is also available at $65.
