Food & Drink

Fully stocked

The organizers of Foodstock have just revealed the names of the more than 100 chefs taking part in this Sunday October 16’s food fest near Shelbourne.

“This will be the culinary equivalent of the original ‘60s celebration,” says the event’s kingpin Michael Stadtländer. “Each chef is pouring their talent into one dish. We expect close to 20,000 people, and if you love food, farmland and water, you will not be disappointed.”

The celebration of the season’s harvest will also feature performances from some of the biggest names in the local music biz.

“Happy to lend a hand to people who are trying to preserve the sanctity of water and arable land,” says Jim Cuddy. “If a little music can help open some peoples’ eyes to the risks we are facing up here then I consider myself lucky to be able to help.”

Admission to Foodstock is pay-what-you-can, with a minimum $10 donation suggested. Tickets are still available here.
