Loving Winterlicious

We haven’t always been fans of Winterlicious.

But If it’s good enough for celebrity chefs like Susur Lee and Daniel Boulud, it works for us.

Both the televisual Lee and Boulud are taking part in the annual food fest that runs from Friday January 31st through Thursday February 13th, Lee with $35 dinners at Bent and $45 dinners at the eponymous Lee and Boulud with $45 dinner at his namesake Café in Yorkville’s swanky new Four Seasons Hotel.

Lee and Boulud aren’t the only heavy ‘Licious hitters involved. None other than David Chang’s Momofuku Daisho and Noodle Bar have come on board, the former with $25 lunches and $45 dinners, the latter the same for $15 and $25. Both ‘fukus are sure to be immediate sell-outs.

Reservations at all participating restaurants are available starting Thursday January 16th so get in there quick if you expect to score tables at top-tier trats like Canoe, Auberge du Pommier and Victory Barry’s Splendido. We’d start hitting the websites at midnight.

Best $15 lunches out there? Other than Noodle Bar where three courses are going for what it normally costs for a bowl of ramen, we’d go with Harlem Underground for soul food with a Caribbean twist, Café Pleiade for no-nonsense seafood, and La Bruschetta for real-deal rustic Italian.
