Pizza pieces

Over in Cabbagetown, long-running Provences Delice on Amelia Street has called it a day.

The gang gutting the former French bistro say an upscale pizzeria is moving in. Beats another gourmet burger joint, we suppose.

This means the selection of pies in the east end is will continue to grow. Gerrard Spaghetti & Pizza and Queen Margherita Pizza have already made it onto NOW’s top 10 pizzas. Room for more?

Speaking of pricy pizza east of Yonge, the much-anticipated launch of Pizzeria Libretto on the Danforth looks set for early October. Libretto, of course, is favourite among NOW readers.

According to its Facebook page, an open cattle-call for staff is being held on Tuesday September 13 and Wednesday September 14 from 11 am to 4 pm at Libretto’s offices over its original location at 221 Ossington. Tell them Steve sent you.
