Sanagan’s rocks Kensington

Right on schedule – two weeks late – Peter Sanagan threw open the doors of his new Meat Locker in Kensington Market’s old European Meats Wednesday morning.

The new space is more than 12 times the size of its original storefront down the street and also features a small first-time takeout corner where seven bucks gets you a Korean-style pulled pork and kimchee sandwich. You can also get whole-rotisserie chickens for $13.49. Beef, bacon and Sriracha hot sauce ready for the barbie go for $7.99/lb and Berkshire pork t-bone chops will set you back $11.99/lb.

Watch for a second outlet of sustainable fishmonger Hooked (hookedinc.ca) to open in Sanagan’s original location at 206 Baldwin later this month.
