WHAT we’re DRINKING TONIGHT

LolaSparklingRose.jpg

Lola Sparkling Rosé VQA

Why Pelee Island Winery’s softly sparkling (charmat method) blend of Vidal Blanc and Chambourcin is an effervescent looker, sporting one of the loveliest labels I’ve seen on an Ontario bottle this year (it won gold for best label design at the 2016 Ontario Wine Awards this spring) and an inviting blush hue. Fruit-driven, with some residual sugar, it’s got garden party written all over it (because come on, there’s still time for one more backyard rosé party this summer).

Price $13.10/750ml
