Sukh This

Closed these past three months for a much-needed renovation, the original Sukhothai in Regent Park is open again for business. And while the room might look a little different – the 30 seats are now all on one floor instead of some in the basement and a row of banquette-like benches has been installed – owner/chef Nuit Regular’s northern Thai carte is as fiery as ever.

“We didn’t want to change too much,” says Nuit’s partner Jeff. “It’s still a family business – my parents run it – but Nuit and I will have a lot more involvement than we have recently. As for the kitchen, the head chef is Nuit but we have pretty much the exact same team as we did before the renovations.”
