Zelda’s closes

Zelda’s Living Well at Yonge and Isabella has been permanently shuttered after an electrical fire.

“And no, I didn’t leave my hair dryer plugged in!” jokes the resto-lounge’s colourful owner Zelda Angelfire on her webpage.

The damage of the June 16th fire has proven more extensive than Angelfire originally thought.

“Unfortunately, due to the capital and energy required to start all over again, we have regrettably decided not to re-open.”

This isn’t the first time that Zelda’s has been shuttered. When the party bar known for its Dirty Bingo and Trailer Trash Karaoke was located on Church Street, it closed unexpectedly two years ago.

Will the Dolly Parton look-a-like rise like a phoenix from the ashes for a fourth kick at the can?

“Who knows? Maybe these heels will pound the pavement again sometime!”
