Toronto’s live music calendar is getting another exclusive addition this October, with Desjardins RECHARGE bringing Portuguese-born, Toronto-raised singer-songwriter Sofia Camara to the stage.
Camara pairs a powerhouse voice with heart-on-sleeve songwriting, creating cinematic pop rooted in heartbreak, longing and connection. Her new EP, Still Somewhere Here, arrives October 9, just days before the event.
With affordability pressures shaping financial decisions, many young Canadians are looking for balance, not sacrifice, and that’s where RECHARGE comes in — part of Desjardins’ Make Room For platform, which encourages young adults to think about money differently. Rather than viewing financial planning as a choice between enjoying life now and preparing for the future, Make Room For focuses on creating space for both.
That idea is at the heart of RECHARGE: making room for the experiences, interests and moments that matter while still thinking about what comes next. Built around the idea that financial wellbeing should include room for joy, RECHARGE brings together live music, wellness experiences and conversations around financial confidence in a way designed to connect with younger generations.
The intimate experience is designed to give young adults a night to recharge — as the name suggests, with a live acoustic performance from Camara, giveaways and other perks throughout the Oct. 15 evening.
Looking to be in the room? Through the Desjardins RECHARGE contest, organized by Universal Music Canada, eligible participants can enter for a chance to win two free passes to the exclusive Toronto event.
For young adults balancing school, work, side hustles, creative projects, travel and everything in between, that can mean finding ways to pursue financial goals without putting life completely on pause.
Desjardins RECHARGE will take place Oct. 15 in Toronto.
