I’ve never taken a test drive when doing a store profile, but I couldn’t resist Fada Scooters’ offer of a lap around Bellevue Square Park. For anyone who’s used to sweating it out on a bicycle all summer, a quick and easy spin on Fada’s e-bike is all it takes to start you saving up the $1,699 you’ll need to ride one off the store’s Kensington Market lot.

Two-month-old Fada also specializes in restoring and reselling vintage Vespas and Lambrettas. The showroom floor is packed with mid-century scooters, including a 1956 model that’s in mint condition, having spent the last chapter of its life as a piece of loft decor.
