Toronto-based design mag Azure celebrates two decades with the Azure Is XX Exhibit , opening Friday (March 4) and running to March 20 at the Realtime Gallery (Distillery Visitor Centre, 55 Mill). Designed by Concrete Design Communications and 3rd Uncle Design , the show stylishly documents the internationally read mag’s development over the past 20 years. Shoe junkies can finally show our love of shoes among like-minded friends when the Bata Shoe Museum (327 Bloor West) marks its 10th anniversary with weekly shoe-themed events on Thursdays. Tonight (March 3), welcome the spring season by perusing an exclusive display of flower-decorated shoes to the soundtrack of a live soprano with piano accompaniment. Next week (March 10), it’s both the Women’s History Month event and a special one-hour shoe design workshop led by local shoemaker Sarah Rotering starting at 6 pm, which costs $5 and includes all materials. 5 to 8 pm. 416-979-7799 ext 242. Attention, gents: do you love the ladies and boast an overflowing billfold? Tonight (Thursday, March 3) is the fourth annual Catwalk Cure charity gala at the Docks (11 Polson, 416-461-DOCK), where 100 per cent of all proceeds go to the Catwalk Cure Foundation for Women’s Cancer Care in support of the Sunnybrook & Women’s College Regional Cancer Centre. It’ll be model central, thanks to the spectacular runway show and dazzling live entertainment, which includes Swing Rosie , Shakura S’Aida and the super-sassed-out Les Coquettes Nouveau Burlesque .
