Lileo 55 Mill, building 35. 416-413-1410 Rating: NNNNN
If you're one of those shoppers who have a lot of time and money and a fierce attention to detail, I've found your paradise. Lileo is a 2,000-square-metre space filled with perfect item after perfect item; you really will want to buy everything you touch. Located in the charming circa-1832 historic Distillery District, designed by 3rd Uncle and Pod 10 and opened in February 2004 by Syd Beder and partners, the boutique is a gem. With Beder's extensive 25+ years' experience - he founded Fashion Cares Canada, designed his own knitwear line Good + Beder and launched lululemon in Eastern Canada - it's no wonder this carefully stocked emporium has every angle covered with the best of the best, from shoes to skin care, dresses to home furnishings and all the trendy items in between. Plus, an interactive light fountain, indoor patio, light mobile and the Livia raw food and juice bar - for shopping sustenance.
Beder's picks: White leather bag by Ro, $413; Nike White Label black and gold T-shirt, $50, and Acquaverde jeans, $210; silk and cotton ruffle skirt by Shanganna, $580.
Look for: exclusive-to-the-store Penguin footwear, limited-edition grey and orange dress by Puma, Heidi Klum Birkenstocks and the store's Box for Lileo line of reasonably priced knitwear.
Hours: Monday to Saturday 11 am to 8 pm, Sunday 11 am to 6 pm.
