Meow! Torontonians love these names for their cats and dogs

Pet parents, it’s your time to shine! The results are in and Toronto’s most popular dog and cat names have been revealed. 

Rover, an online marketplace where pet owners can buy and sell pet care services, including pet sitting, dog boarding and dog walking, has compiled user data to determine the city’s most loved pet names.

Toronto’s most popular pet dog names were Luna, Charlie, Milo, Coco and Leo, and cat owners seemed to love those names too.

Among the felines, Luna, Leo and Charlie took the top three spots, followed by Lily and Bella.

Meanwhile, the names that gained the most momentum this year were Sushi for dogs, and Ricky for cats, which grew by 465 per cent and 807 per cent respectively.

The name Dude, was also up 282 per cent as were celestial inspired names such as Moon and Star.
