So for all those wannabe sharp-dressed men (and the good folks who love ’em) looking for clothes above and beyond the norm, this one’s for you. Owned by artist/musician Julian Finkel , Model Citizen – which deals primarily in menswear, with a small selection of corresponding women’s silkscreens – is a corner boutique in the heart of the blossoming Dundas West strip. With its signature line-drawn silkscreened menswear, killer reworked vintage pieces from the likes of Toronto designers b-love , Ilja Lukac and AKA , and even custom-tailor-made blue jeans, Model Citizen is the ultimate resource for upping your wardrobe’s cool quotient.

Look for : Wrestling hoodies by AKA acrylic wall-mounted animal heads by Science and Sons the launch of an e-commerce website the trompe l’oeil shirt and tie set and a silkscreening workshop (Silkscreen 101) on August 14 from noon to 6 pm ($145, includes materials).
