Nadja Sayej, host of ArtStars*.
What does style mean to you? To quote Courtney Love, “Rock and roll is all about writing your own script.” And same goes with my D.I.Y. ArtStars* style – grunge-on-the-go Gonzo journalism with heels in the backpack because who can chase down Peaches with my mic and cameraman for an interview on her upcoming role in Ivory Tower in four-inch, clear plastic heels? I didn’t think so.
What is your personal style? Harajuku Barbara Walters-meets-Jeanne Beker assaulted by a pack of Ryerson fashion students in the bathroom of Circa – in 2003.
I feel naked without: My dickwad microphone I stealth the art world for ArtStars*, my internet TV show better known as TMZ for the art scene, my black push up bra and my blue Ray Ban spectacles to read between the lines.
Favourite part of Toronto? Right here, right now at the Zanzibar, a dirty sex playground where the art world fears to tread – but should strut more often: Stop being so uptight. Get a blowjob. *snap*
