Sophie Grégoire Trudeau is joining a fancy divorce event next month to chat about her personal transformation.

Founder of Born for More and Soulful Divorcée Kathryne Mejias created the event series last November for divorced, separated, and recently broken up women in Toronto.

The Soulful Divorcée empowers women enduring marriage or relationship separation by helping them reconnect to their bodies, receive financial advice, and promote a safe community for those who are experiencing a similar situation.

For the next event on Mar. 29, Mejias invited Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s ex-wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau for an intimate fireside chat.

“When I thought about who could truly embody the message of The Soulful Divorcée, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau was one of the first women who came to mind. She has navigated divorce in the public eye with grace, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to personal growth and authenticity—exactly what this event represents,” Meijas told Now Toronto.

As a mother of three, yoga teacher, meditation practitioner, and 2022 National Volunteer for the Canadian Mental Health Association, Grégoire Trudeau will share personal experiences of staying authentic while redefining her life in the spotlight and how to stay grounded during life transitions, according to Meijas.

She adds the event is meant to inspire women to never settle for anything less than they deserve and to transform the narrative of divorce from one of loss to one of empowerment.

Shortly after separating from Trudeau, Grégoire Trudeau published her book “Closer Together: Knowing Ourselves, Loving Each Other” last April, which received praise from previous U.S. presidential candidate Hilary Clinton.

Moving away from being defined by her marriage, Trudeau has spent the last year discussing self love concepts from her book, along with healing from separation.

The second Soulful Divorcée event will feature over 42 vendors and a schedule chock-full of celebrity-led empowerment exercises, such as guided visualization from Wellness Leader and Solution-Focused Life Coach Eva Redpath, tarot readings, a discussion panel featuring relationship experts, beauty makeovers, and breathing exercises.

“Divorce isn’t just about something ending; it’s about women reclaiming themselves. It’s a turning point—a chance to rediscover who you are beyond the roles you once played. Too often, women are defined by their relationships, especially when married to powerful men,” Meijas said.
