Warning: when you step inside Parkdale herbal haven Studio Botanica , you’ll desperately want to work there. From the fragrant ambience to the light-hearted vibe, right down to the garden in the back, your office – or wherever it is you do your job – simply won’t be able to compete. Registered herbalist Carol Little launched her li’l shop of herbal remedies in December last year to spread the message to the people: live better sans chemicals. The shelves are lined with affordable inner and outer remedies, with testers galore.

Not just a feel-good retail source, Studio Botanica also features DIY workshops like the 12-week Holiday Season series that will educate you on handmaking botanical gifts of all kinds. Check the Web site for more info. OK, employment at SB may not be a reality, but Little can hook you up with the herbal tools to make your existing job experience more pleasant, or at least smell that way.

Little’s picks : Floral Facial Steam, $6 Traveler’s Aid Kit for Jetlag and More, $25 Workaholic’s Bath, $13 and Immune Complex Herb & Spice, $10.

Look for : Lavilin Cream Body Deodorant, Urban Harvest organic seeds, Alba shave cream and the awesome SB gift baskets.

Hours : Thursday, Friday and Sunday noon to 6 pm, Saturday 10 am to 6 pm.
