Participating theatres across Canada will be offering discounted movie tickets this weekend in honour of National Cinema Day.
On Sunday Aug. 27, movie lovers are invited to hit up theatres at a fraction of the cost.
“To celebrate, all movie tickets will be priced at $4.00, for any movie in any format. So let’s all go and enjoy the show […] with a community of fellow movie-goers, delicious popcorn, and your favourite drink,” National Cinema Day Canada wrote on its website.
That’s over $9 in savings from the regular $13.50 ticket price at Cineplex theatres in Toronto.
The one-day event will be held at more than 3,000 participating locations with over 30,000 screens across North America alone.
