Toronto is ranked Canada’s seventh most family-friendly city, according to a report from Clever Canadian.

The website, which focuses on reviews of Canadian products and services, ranked Canadian cities based on a variety of factors, including population, number of families with kids, unemployment rate, safety index, average household income, average household monthly costs, median house price, median monthly daycare cost, number of daycares and number of parks.

“Representation and diversity are very important when raising a child,” their report says. “With this in mind, Toronto would be the best place to go. As the largest city in Canada, there are a lot of places you can travel to.”

Toronto’s unemployment rate is 6.1 per cent, average household income at $85,000 and monthly costs at $3,732, according to data from Clever Canadian.

Toronto was beat out by Quebec City in first place, followed by Ottawa, Calgary, Vancouver, Edmonton and Richmond.

Some of the least family-friendly cities in Ontario on the list include Kingston, Oshawa, Thunder Bay, Peterborough, Barrie, St. Catherines and Brantford.
