Thousands of pillows are expected to be flying in Nathan Phillips Square this weekend at the city’s fourth annual organized pillow fight.

The Giant Pillow Fight mock festival and “renowned mass pillow fight” will take place on April 12, 2025.

The event is in celebration of International Pillow Fight Day and takes place in cities across the world including New York, London, Madrid, Berlin, and Vienna.

The festivities will begin around 2 p.m. and will last a whole hour.

As a safety precaution, the event organizers only allow light featherless pillows, but caution that there are always some rule-breakers who might bring heavier pillows.

The festival was initially planned for April 5, but was postponed in Toronto until the 12th due to Toronto’s 191st birthday festival that took place that weekend at Nathan Phillips Square.
