Scary in its robotic similarity to the third molar, this stainless-steel version of bonus seating, created by Japanese designer Yasuaki Sasamoto, is anything but superfluous. An easy addition to most contemporary interiors – chintzed-out Laura Ashley need not apply – these stackable 3-footers are great for accommodating extra guests. (Too bad our mouths can’t do the same.)
