Now Free Flick Mondays Presents Jaws

It’s the summer of 1975, and all the people of Amity Island want to do is swim. But as they splash and play, a great white shark is on the hunt. The killer fish snacks on a number of people before the town gets its act together and fights back.

Jaws was the first ever summer blockbuster, and it’s definitely stood the test of time. Rarely catching sight of the shark amps up the suspense and masterfully avoids employing special effects that would probably seem cheesy and outdated in 2015.

And this Monday, you have a chance to see Jaws at The Royal Cinema for free.

You’ve probably seen the Steven Spielberg-directed classic before, but there’s something special about revisiting old favourites on the big screen. And if that isn’t enough, the first 100 people to arrive get a free drink and popcorn, thanks to The Royal. RSVP here.

Enter for a pair of VIP tickets here, which will get you reserved seating and a guaranteed movie snack.

You may be scared of swimming for a while, but comfort yourself with the fact that there’s no sharks in Lake Ontario.
