Electronic production duo Rob Garza and Eric Hilton, aka Thievery Corporation, were turned loose in the Verve vaults to compile their favourite tracks. After what they claim were months of searching, they’ve come up with a pleasantly chilled but terribly common assortment of jazzy Brazilian-flavoured groovers — from the likes of Cal Tjader, Sergio Mendes, Walter Wanderley, Astrud Gilberto, etc — the majority of which are already available on CD. Proof that such projects should be left to serious collectors and dedicated diggers rather than curious celebrity DJ/producers.
