Born Ruffians release a documentary and their own beer

The boys of Born Ruffians have been busy. In addition to touring in support of last year’s RUFF album and their newly released XTRA RUFF EP, the indie rock four-piece are releasing a short documentary and a beer.

Produced with radio station Indie 88, RUFF RUFF RUFF was shot during the group’s three hometown shows at three different venues last year. It screens at the Thompson Hotel Lobby Bar on Friday (May 27) at 6 pm.

The Ruffsters (we call them that now) are also the latest group to extend their brand into the world of craft beer by teaming up with Muskoka Brewery on tropical blond ale RUFF Draught. The brew will compete at the Session Toronto Craft Beer Festival on June 11. The winner will be listed by the LCBO. There’s also a tasting event at the Hideout (484 Queen West) on June 7 from 8 to 10 pm.

If good ol’ fashioned live music is more your thing, catch Born Ruffians at NXNE’s Port Lands Festival on June 18.
