Mark Pesci out at MRG

Veteran punk scene promoter Mark Pesci has parted ways with Adelaide Hall and MRG Concerts after less than a year.

Last October, Pesci became the talent buyer/programmer for the MRG-owned Entertainment District venue, which had undergone a major renovation.

“I have a made a very difficult but vital decision to take a small step back from the music industry to focus on my personal life and family,” he said in a statement. “I plan to remain involved wherever and however I can. I will continue to do what I can to support the artists I love. I want to remain involved in talent buying, concert and event production/management, artist management – anywhere that people may need my skills, little bits at a time.”

Prior to joining MRG, Pesci booked indie, punk and hardcore gigs at the Shop under Parts & Labour and more recently at Smiling Buddha. He’s also the co-founder of listings site Just Shows.
