MF DOOM & MADLIB
For MF Doom to top his brilliantly twisted King Geedorah and Victor Vaughn discs, the adventurous hiphop MC needed to hook up with an equally creative producer who could raise the bar, and Madlib was the right choice. Madlib dispenses with most of the corny film dialogue samples that ruined Doom’s previous projects and leaves enough space around his dope beats for the master rhyme ripper to switch into freestyle mode and let loose. Together they create at least one “Damn, did you hear that?” moment per track.
